heres some new things:

ive been listening to new music. im trying to get away from my consistant electronic music obesssion and ive gone back to guitar based music (to an extent). ive gotten really into sonic youth recently, devouring "daydream nation" and i also bought "goo." good stuff. in addition to sonic youth, the new beck cd is currently captivating me. funky at times, and subdued at others, its a really great album. on a third front, ive downloaded a bunch of underground hip hop from cLOUDDEAD, aesop rock, busdriver, daedelus, and boom bip. its all very interesting and id like to get more.

ah yes. good times. music.

its been slow, i know, but things have been busy.

im learning a new set of skills with my "work" im doing for the shop to make money. im working on refurbishing (sp?) an old appartment. it was gutted before i arrived, but still filthy, so i did a lot of cleaning and vaccuming, but now im on to the fun stuff. ive learned to use a circular saw to cut up the old floor boards which are tounge and groove style boards. next i put insulation in. after that, i reinserted the floor boards, nailing them down. ive done this for about 1/3 of an appartment, hopefully getting another 1/3 of it done within the week. after that, its time to rip down some stairs. then, put in replacement windows and then frame a bouldering gym! its an interesting set of skills that im learning. its not something that i normally do, but im quite enjoying it.

went to the governor's stable climbing competition this past weekend. it was a really good time. tons of people, problems, and good times!

ive also started doing some meditation. its a difficult practice to get into, but i hope to keep with it.

more updates soon!

apparently winter is not done yet.
and the driveway full of slush yesterday is a testimony to that.
so is the pulled muscle in my back.

i hope it leaves soon, its really cramping my sandal wearing. i wore them on sunday and monday, and then it got crappy. so it goes.

on the bright side of things...

this guy just got finished. the pieces finally came and i built the rest of it. lego someow or another didnt send me some of the pieces, so i had to call to get that fixed. well, thats the finished product. pretty bad ass, sitting on my desk, protecting my computer.

i also shaved off my beard today. i probably had it for something like 6 months. time to grow it again.

this post is at the request of eli and scott. both have told me to put new things up.
so this post is going to be an update post, and i will try to update as frequently as possible.

i graduated in december with a degree in textiles, apparel, and merchandising. it has yet to hook me a job, but ive been searching pretty hardcore for two months now. ive been told that most graduates dont get a job until between 6 and 9 months after graduating. so ive got some time, however i am impatient. i want a career now. but ill just have to bide my time.

i recently got a new computer.

its a mac mini. quite powerful for such a small little machine. i got it so that i could become familiar with adobe illustrator, the program that is the standard in the apparel design world. i have begun my self teaching process, having completed lesson 1 in my adobe classroom book. its good fun.

my lovely girlfriend is living in paris right now. its pretty painful being so far away, but hopefully ill get to see her soon, as long as i can find the money to fly there.

climbing is rather stagnant. its cold, snowy, and not pleasant outside right now. i could be cross country skiing or something, but its not climbing, so it doesnt count.

other than that, i will try to update as frequently as possible. bear with me.
